How to do the face pull (band)

  1. 1

Anchor a resistance band at face height on a rack or post. Hold the ends with both hands, thumbs facing you, and step back until the band is tight and your arms are straight.

  2. 2

Pull the band toward your face, pulling your hands apart and flaring your elbows high. Squeeze your shoulder blades together at the end.

  3. 3

Return slowly with control, keeping some tension on the band. Breathe out as you pull and in as you return.

Form tip: Keep your ribs down and your elbows at or above hand height; do not lean back to get extra pull.
