How to do the standing quad stretch

  1. 1

Stand tall next to a wall or a sturdy support and hold on with one hand. Bend one knee and grab your ankle behind you with the same-side hand.

  2. 2

Gently pull your heel toward your glute while keeping your knees close together and your thigh pointing straight down. Push your hips slightly forward for a deeper stretch.

  3. 3

Hold for 30 seconds while breathing slowly, then release and switch legs. Keep your standing knee soft.

Form tip: Do not arch your lower back or let your knee drift out to the side. Tighten your abs and glutes to stay upright.
