How to do the kabaddi

  1. 1

Warm up for 10 minutes with jogging, hip and ankle mobility and dynamic stretches. Play on a soft, flat mat and stand in a low, balanced stance with knees bent.

  2. 2

As the raider, step in quickly, use sharp footwork to dodge, and touch a defender before returning. As a defender, stay low, work together and use firm holds around the thighs or waist.

  3. 3

Keep chanting the cant steadily and breathe out hard through each raid.

Form tip: Protect your knees and ankles by landing on a bent leg and stay controlled. Do not take part in tackles when tired or injured.
