How to do the lying leg curl
- 1
Lie face down on the machine with the pad resting just above your heels and your knees right at the edge of the bench.
- 2
Curl your heels toward your glutes by bending your knees, until the pad is near your buttocks or you reach a strong hamstring squeeze.
- 3
Pause briefly, then lower the weight slowly over about 3 seconds until your legs are almost straight. Breathe out as you curl and in as you lower.
Form tip: Keep your hips pressed into the bench; if they lift, the weight is too heavy.
