How to do the pike push up

  1. 1

Start in a push-up position, then walk your feet toward your hands and lift your hips so your body forms an upside-down V. Place hands slightly wider than your shoulders.

  2. 2

Bend your elbows and lower the top of your head toward the floor between your hands. Press back up until your arms are straight.

  3. 3

Keep your hips high and your elbows at about 45 degrees from your body throughout. Breathe in as you lower and out as you press.

Form tip: Move your feet closer to your hands to make it harder; do not let your hips drop, which turns it into a regular push-up.
