How to do the turkish get up
- 1
Lie on your back with a kettlebell held straight above one shoulder, arm locked, knee on that side bent with foot flat. Keep your eyes on the bell.
- 2
Roll onto your elbow, then hand, lift your hips, sweep your back leg under you to kneeling, and stand up, always keeping the arm vertical. Then reverse each step.
- 3
Move slowly and deliberately, pausing at every stage. Breathe steadily and keep your eyes on the bell. Switch sides after each rep or set.
Form tip: Learn the steps with no weight or a shoe on your fist first. Never let the bell drift off vertical.
