How to do the bicep curl (band)

  1. 1

Stand on the middle of a resistance band with feet hip-width apart and hold an end in each hand, palms forward, elbows at your sides.

  2. 2

Curl both hands toward your shoulders, keeping your upper arms still, until your biceps are fully squeezed. Stop when your forearms are near vertical.

  3. 3

Lower slowly over about 3 seconds so the band never snaps back. Breathe out as you curl up and in as you lower, and keep your wrists straight.

Form tip: Do not swing your torso or let your elbows drift forward; if you have to lean back, use a lighter band.
