How to do the bicep curl (cable)
- 1
Attach a straight or EZ bar to a low pulley and face the stack. Grab the bar with an underhand grip, hands shoulder-width apart, with your elbows tucked at your sides.
- 2
Curl the bar up toward your chest by bending your elbows only. Squeeze your biceps at the top.
- 3
Lower slowly until your arms are straight, keeping tension on the cable the whole time. Breathe out as you curl and in as you lower.
Form tip: Stand a step back from the stack so the cable stays tight, and do not lean back to swing the bar.
