How to do the tricep pushdown (band)

  1. 1

Anchor a resistance band to a high point, such as the top of a door or a pull-up bar. Grip it with palms down, step back for tension and tuck your elbows at your sides.

  2. 2

Push your hands down until your arms are straight, squeezing your triceps. Keep your elbows still and only move your forearms.

  3. 3

Let the band pull your hands back up slowly until forearms are just above parallel. Breathe out on the push and in on the return.

Form tip: Make sure the band is anchored securely so it cannot snap loose; do not lean forward to force the movement.
