Muscles worked
How to do the lateral band walk
- 1
Place a loop band around your thighs or ankles, stand with feet hip-width apart and sink into a slight squat with a flat back.
- 2
Step sideways with your lead foot, then follow with the other so your feet return to hip-width, keeping tension on the band throughout.
- 3
Take small, steady steps in one direction for the set, then walk back the other way. Breathe normally and keep your toes pointing forward.
Form tip: Stay low in your quarter squat and do not let your knees cave in or your feet come together.
