How to do the belt squat
- 1
Attach the belt around your hips and connect it to the machine or a weighted chain. Stand on the platforms with feet shoulder-width apart, holding the handles lightly for balance.
- 2
Bend your knees and lower your hips straight down as far as you can with control. Drive through your feet to stand tall again.
- 3
Lower for about 2 seconds, breathing in on the way down and out on the way up. Keep your torso upright with your spine unloaded.
Form tip: Keep your chest tall and do not lean on the handles; the belt takes weight off your back, so focus on legs.
