How to do the tricep kickback (cable)
- 1
Attach a single handle to a low cable. Hinge forward at the hips with a flat back, hold the handle with your upper arm tucked at your side and parallel to the floor.
- 2
Straighten your elbow to push the handle back until your arm is straight, squeezing your triceps. Keep your shoulder and upper arm still.
- 3
Return slowly under tension to a 90-degree bend, taking about 3 seconds. Breathe out as you extend and in as you bend.
Form tip: Keep your back flat and do not use momentum; the cable gives constant tension so a light weight is enough.
