How to do the landmine squat

  1. 1

Set up a barbell in a landmine holder or a corner. Stand facing it, hold the end of the bar against your chest with both hands, feet shoulder-width apart.

  2. 2

Squat down, letting your hips drop between your knees while the bar's angle helps you stay upright. Drive through your heels to stand and extend your arms slightly.

  3. 3

Lower over 2 seconds with a braced core, breathing in on the way down and out as you rise. Keep the bar close to your chest.

Form tip: Keep your chest tall and elbows tucked; if you lean forward, hold the bar closer and use a lighter weight.
