How to do the lateral shuffle
- 1
Stand with your feet slightly wider than shoulder-width, knees bent, hips back, and chest up in an athletic stance. Keep your hands in front of you.
- 2
Step sideways with your lead foot and follow with your trailing foot, without crossing your feet. Shuffle 3 to 5 steps one way, then switch direction.
- 3
Stay low and keep your weight on the balls of your feet. Breathe steadily and work for the time set, then rest before the next round.
Form tip: Keep your hips low and do not cross your feet or bounce up. Make sure the floor is clear and not slippery.
