How to do the crunch (stability ball)

  1. 1

Sit on a stability ball and walk your feet forward until the ball is under your lower back, feet wide and flat for balance.

  2. 2

Place your hands lightly behind your head, then curl your shoulders up toward your hips by tightening your abs.

  3. 3

Pause at the top, then lower back slowly over the ball for a deeper stretch. Breathe out as you curl up and in as you lower.

Form tip: Keep your feet planted and do not pull your head forward; the ball should not roll as you move.
