What is Superset?
A superset is two exercises performed back to back with little or no rest between them.
Also called: paired sets, back-to-back sets.
In a superset you do one exercise, then move straight to a second one before resting. The two can work opposite muscles, like biceps curls and triceps pushdowns, or the same muscle group. It saves time and raises the pace of your workout.
Supersets are handy if your gym session is short or crowded. For example, you could do a set of dumbbell rows, then a set of push-ups straight after, rest for a minute, and repeat. Choose weights you can control, and drop back to normal sets if your form suffers.
