How to do the front raise (cable)
- 1
Attach a straight bar or rope to a low pulley and face away from the stack, with the cable running between your legs. Hold the handle in front of your thighs with arms nearly straight.
- 2
Raise your hands straight in front of you to shoulder height, keeping a slight bend in your elbows. Pause briefly at the top.
- 3
Lower slowly, keeping the tension on the cable. Breathe out as you lift and in as you lower.
Form tip: Stand a step away from the stack so the cable stays tight at the bottom, and do not lean back as you raise.
