How to do the power yoga
- 1
Place your mat on a firm floor and start with 5 minutes of gentle warm-up, such as cat cow and a few slow sun salutations. Wear fitted clothes that stay in place.
- 2
Flow quickly from pose to pose, such as chair, warrior, plank, chaturanga and downward dog. Hold strong poses for 3 to 5 breaths and keep your core braced and legs active.
- 3
Link each move with your breath and rest in child's pose whenever you need.
Form tip: Keep your shoulders away from your ears in plank and chaturanga. Lower your knees to the floor if your body sags, rather than dropping your lower back.
