Muscles worked

How to do the skull crusher (ez bar)

  1. 1

Lie on a flat bench holding an EZ bar with an overhand grip on the angled inner bends. Press it over your chest with arms straight and elbows pointing at the ceiling.

  2. 2

Bend only at the elbows to lower the bar toward your forehead or just behind your head. Extend your arms back up until they are straight, squeezing your triceps.

  3. 3

Lower slowly over 3 seconds and breathe in on the way down, out on the way up.

Form tip: Do not let your elbows drift out or your upper arms move; use a weight you can control, because the bar travels close to your head.
