How to do the sled push

  1. 1

Load a sled with a suitable weight on a flat track or turf. Place your hands on the high or low handles, arms straight, body leaning forward at about 45 degrees.

  2. 2

Drive through the balls of your feet with short, powerful steps, pushing the sled forward while keeping your back flat and your core braced.

  3. 3

Walk or run the full distance, then stop and rest before returning. Breathe steadily and keep your head neutral. Keep your arms mostly locked.

Form tip: Keep your hips low and your back flat. Start light so you can maintain good form over the full distance.
