How to do the archer push up
- 1
Start in a high plank with hands about twice shoulder width apart, fingers pointing slightly outward. Keep your body straight and core tight.
- 2
Lower your chest toward one hand while that arm bends and the other arm stays straight out to the side. Push back up and repeat to the other side.
- 3
Breathe in as you lower and out as you press, moving slowly. Keep your hips level and do not twist your torso.
Form tip: Keep the straight arm close to the floor and only as strong as needed; start with a smaller range and work up.
